That one should be for your first reef point. On mine it comes out of the end of the boom port side like yours. Then up to first reef point and ties off at an eye maybe a foot or two forward of the aft end of boom on stbd side.
I don’t have any personal experience on this topic or with this product. But I do remember seeing this YouTube channel that refinished their mast with it. Pretty sure there was another channel that I saw where they used it too but do not remember who it was.

As Fergus said be very careful with removing the impeller! I had the same problem. Was able to get new seals, gaskets, even the shaft. My impeller broke during removal. After many disappointing hours of searching was not able to find a replacement. Finally threw in the towel and removed the old...

Ken,
Unfortunately I wasn’t able to make it to the boat today. Will be there for sure Friday and will get the measurement. Unless someone can provide it sooner.
Warren,
I’m also interested in how you have them mounted in the lifelines. I’ve seen folks with them mounted on the sides but always to solid rails.
Jim,
Thank you for the picture. I may still may end up mounting some on my bimini instead of doing an arch. It’s not the greatest bimini set up...
Good day all!
looking for design ideas on a solar arch. I've searched the forum and found a few but I suspect many more of you out there may have one but do not have any pictures of it posted here. If you wouldn't mind, could you please post a pic here. I would love to see what fellow Morgan...
Nice catch Rob. Checked a picture of my spreaders and those are backwards compared to mine. But I honestly wouldn’t know if it was mine that are backwards.
Mitchell,
Here is a pic of mine. Can’t remember hull number off the top of my head but she is a 1978 382 model. Looks as though your shaft log just extends out farther than mine and others I’ve seen on here. Just going from memory I believe my shaft log only sticks out maybe 1/4 inch and...
When I first bought my boat before I hauled out and replaced all thru-hulls, the hose from galley sink to thru-hull desperately needed replaced. I used a foam plug that was on the boat to plug it from under the boat. Replaced hose then dove back under to pull plug.
Another option would be to...
Warren,
I bought this kit from rig-rite to replace the parts in the gooseneck. I reused the center sheave for the outhaul line. But this replaced the other two sheaves and cams. Seemed a little pricey but what isn’t on boats.
Well I think I got lucky with rig-rite. No luck with the outhaul car but I was able to get mine straightened out enough that it slides smooth again. Of course it might not last long…. I was able to get the parts need for the boom end fittings. So I’ll take that as a win.
Jim, have you been...
Thank you Warren. I believe I found the part on rig-rite’s website. Going to confirm measurements before giving them a call.
Hopefully I’ll have better luck than some of you have had with them
Ok thank you.
It’s something I’ve been on the fence about doing. I’ve read plenty of arguments against it but also plenty for it. Figured it’s gonna be something I just have to try myself to know for sure. With little ones climbing around the cockpit I would like to have one less pinch point...
