    V-Berth length

I am 6'4" and just "barely fit" in the V berth. My G/F is just 5'2" and I get to use the entire foot area, so it works out okay. I think 6'8" would a little tight. As far as head room.....I cannot stand up straight anywhere down below, (except under the main hatch) I have a 384....if that...

    Holding Tank

Thanks, Warren. I intend to pump air in the vent opening. (Just in case I have the wrong line)

I'll work on it. Thank you Jim. Gary

    Holding Tank

While pumping out my holding tank, my "pump out" guy stated that he thought my "vent" may be clogged. Can I check it and fix it? Where is the vent? Morgan 384 "Bonnie Lass" TIA, Gary

    Standing headroom

I am 6'3" and can stand up straight only under a hatch on my 384.

    Bedding for the Vee berth

We sleep in the Vee berth of my 384. We use standard queen "fitted" sheets and know there must be a better way. Any suggestions or advise to make sleeping more comfortable? T.I.A. Gary

Differences between the 5' and 6' draft versions?

There is a 382 for sale in Merritt Island Florida that claims a 7' draft. Not such a good boat for Florida and Bahamas.

    Shower sump problem

Lee: You recommended DEPCO for pump repair. Was that for my sump pump or John's macerator?

    Shower sump problem

Your macerator would be plumbed with larger lines. My pump has approx. 1/2" grey plastic lines in and out.

    Shower sump problem

Mine is probably original (32 years old) Could it be repaired or must I replace it? Mine is under the sink and very high near the top of the counter top. Very difficult to get at with small access "holes"

    Shower sump problem

I posted this problem some time ago and have tried a number of things that were suggested. After trying everything, I attached "pressure" water to the shower drain hole and guess what it started working fine, however, as soon as I pump it dry, I seem to loose prime and I have to start it up...

    DIY Fuel Polisher

Thank you for posting. Everyone could probably use one of these.

Hoping to join the Morgan 38 club

I purchased my 384 last July. My advise would be (if you have decided on a Morgan 38) to look at as many Morgans as you can find. I did a little traveling to view as many boats as I could. I found that I learned something from each and every boat. As I walked the docks, I met other Morgan...

    Fuel Filters

Thanks, Dave. I think I'll go with the 10 Micron. I would be interested in the DIY system. Anyone know the cost to have a yard do it?

    Fuel Filters

I am changing my Racor cartridge filters on my Yanmar. I have a choice of 10 micron or 30 micron. Which should I use? I still have the Yanmar spin on filter after the Racor. Thanks, Gary

    Hurricane Irma

The west coast of Florida is getting hammered. The eye is now over Naples at 6:15 PM. The surge is yet to come. My boat is on the east coast (Daytona Beach) at a floating dock marina. I will have a better chance than the west coast boats. Good luck to all.

    Identify Head

Thank you, Bob. I would have never figured it out myself. I found a couple places that sell parts, and you are right....they are expensive. I'm not sure if I'm happy I have a "Skipper" head. The parts could be a problem. I think I will open it up and see what I got. Thanks again, Gary

    Identify Head

I would like to get a rebuild kit for my head. Can someone identify this head? TIA Gary

    Bow light

My bow light (incandescent) bulb has burned out. It's probably time to go LED. Can I just replace the bulb with an LED bulb? The current bulb is a two contact bayonet base @ 10W. What should I get to replace it? Where is the best place to buy it? TIA Gary
