Thanks warren. I misread the total time on your bottom paint. Yea that doesn't look that good. I hope that was an ablative, not a hard coat. Have you been applying ablative?

Warren, I have sufficient Aerogel insulation left over from my Fridge rebuild if you are interested. I sandwiched it between sheet foam panels which gave me R35n to R40. I'm in Northern Ca. Vern

I did a rebuild similar to Jim's, but I sandwiched Aerogel insulation between two foam layers. resulting in R40. I have enough Aerogel to complete another one if anyone is interested.

Has any one out there replaced the hatch on the lazzaret to make it water tight? I'd really like to keep as much water out as possible.

I removed the teak. filled the screw holes and put on artificial teak. I don't remember which brand I used. All are easily applied and look good and hold up well.

I have the Ritchie Globemaster 6". It's great ,but if I had to replace it I would opt for the less expensive Globemaster 5".

I too tried to give them my money, but they made it clear that they did not want it. I have no idea how they remain in business.

Good News! My stb tank was worse than I initially thought. Cracked completely across from inlet corner to outlet corner, through all three fitting openings and around the corner on the stb side from inlet approx. 3 inches. Cracks were open and all the way through the mat'l so easy to see inside...
