Hello Everyone,
The above is for sale dirt cheap, boom missing and engine not working, boat on hard, the bulkhead in lazaret is of PARTICLE board, checked this three times suspecting termites, almost gone. Is there anything else I should be awere of? I have to respond by tomorrow morning. Thank you in advance for any advice.

Forgive the pessimism you may experience in response to your question but, while Morgans are damn good boats, it is important to recognize that even damn good boats can be beyond saving. This certainly sounds like one of them.

Perhaps this is one way to look at it: Are you specifically looking for a long, costly, unnecessarily complicated, and possibly eventually rewarding project with plenty of surprises? With extra emphasis on “long” and “surprises”? If so, look no further - you have found it.

Else, I would have to agree with Jim. You can do better for your time and money.

All that being said, I love a good project, especially someone else’s. Based on what you posted above, it is hard to be optimistic, but hell, maybe you’re right and it is actually a diamond in the rough. Can you upload some pics so we can offer better advice?
