Hinges for Cabinet Doors in M383

bharney

All of my cabinet doors have the same type of hinge and I have
not been able to locate them in the local stores. They are the
type which have a slit in the door and allow it to open all the
way. I think they are brass and attach on the back of the door
and the front of the cabinet. Can anyone give me a reference to
buy these hinges. Thanx.

The hinge in the photo looks like a normal cabinet hinge, not a special hinge made for marine use. It doesn't look anything like the hinges on my 1978 382. I would suggest you check out a few of websites, cabinetparts.com, amerock.com, and Rockler.com. If you don't find your hinge on their sites, call them and send them the photos. Maybe they can help.

Jim,

Thanks, I'll checkout those websites.

Sonata (383) has the same hinges and most are pretty bad and some crumbling away.
I would like to find a direct replacement if possible too. I will be watching this thread.
And looking at the websites given here, thanks.
