They are in great condition. If anyone out there wants these please reply here on the message board or email me directly.

The covers can be picked up in Beaufort, NC or you pay shipping costs.

Both covers fit into a large USPS flat rate shipping box. I can ship them anywhere in the US for $18.

The covers are going to Thomas. If I find other M38X specific parts that I do not need I will post them on this thread.

The panel contains no fuses.

Steve - Done!

My preference would be to use PayPal for the payment. Are you set up to use Paypal?

I will box up the panel tomorrow. Please email (jeffalovett@gmail.com) me your address so that I can calculate the shipping costs.

Jeff

Alan,

We will be using the Bass panel off our M34. Here is an image of the panel installed on the M34.

We will be installing the Blue Sky Solar Charge Controller, Victron Battery Monitor, and Xantrex Propane Sniffer pictured on board Pilgrim as well.

I'll be happy to provide additional information on the electrical panel, but we pick a more appropriate thread.

Jeff

Is there any chance while you have those boxes off i can talk you in to a bunch of pics and measurements? Mine were removed long ago and lost.

Rene - I assume you are speaking of the Chainplate covers. I have already sent them to Thomas Burns. Hopefully he can assist you.

Yeah, David Smith told me this weekend you were selling a pair. I look at those angles and think there is no way i can duplicate them.

M382 Teak Cabin Top Grabrails

I am replacing Pilgrim's original teak cabin top grab rails with stainless steel rails.

I am eager to sell the starboard and port, aft grab rails. The varnish is in bad condition, but the teak is in good condition

Will sell the pair for $30.

Located in Beaufort, NC.

These aft rails are 79-1/2" long. Due to length shipping may be problematic.

Please let me know if anyone is interested.

Yes. I have now removed all four teak grab rails from the cabin top. All of them were installing using wood screws into the deck. The point of a few of the screws just barely penetrated the inside of the cabin.

Two of the screws on the forward rails broke when attempting to remove them.

I am going to install four (two each side) stainless steel grab rails.

These will be anchored using thru bolts with backing plates.

Jeff
I suspected that the handrails were only screwed to the deck. When I had part of the headliner down for a project, I didn't find any nuts or backing plates. The screws are not a very good means to secure something that a crew may grab to stop a fall. Where are you having the SS rails made? Did you find stock units or are they custom made?

Jim

Yes. Pulled the remaining cabin top hardware today. Next step drill out and fill holes for cabin top hardware.

Jim
We used Pettit one step nonskid tan or sand color...rolled on...looks fantastic.
Just allow more time to dry than 2-3 days. We used Pettit because it had the right color match for our boat. The Kiwi Grip "Cream" was too yellow for our taste. But their rollers are perfect.

We have been using KiwiGrip for a few years now. It adheres and works rather well. There is one spot on the cabin top where we let it harden too much before rolling it out. That will be redone eventually. The grip is aggressive and I'm always afraid about tripping and falling onto it. If I'm wearing shorts, it will take off a pound of meat from my knee. We also find it is a two person job to apply. While one person rolls, the other has to remove the tape quickly. Bonnie and I have gotten pretty good at it now.

Jim

Jeff, I will take those rails if not already spoken for. Mine have been sanded too much and are thin.

If these are not, I will take them. I think they will ship UPS ok if wrapped well. A little trouble for you but I will pay shipping. John

John,

The rails are still available. I will take picture and a measurement on the thickness of the rails today. Will send you info this evening.

I have the folding swim ladder original to the 382 which I will gladly send to you for the cost of the shipping. I replaced it with one that stows in the locker.

Also, I've replaced the Hyde Stream Furler. Can't ship the furler rod of course but I can send the top unit and/or the bottom unit if anyone needs that for the cost of shipping.

Hi John I could use the top and bottom unit of your Hyde Furler

Pls send me a private message for your address. I will have to cut the two ends from the solid rod, I know you are aware of that but I will cut them several inches away from the ends of both.
